This poster was created by Wood McGrath for The British Council Art, Architecture & Design department's International Young Design Entrepreneur of the Year 2007.

Each year the award consists of a unique A1 framed poster, which features the same quote by writer George Bernard Shaw. The award was presented by Thorsten Van Elten during a ceremony held at 100% Design in September, to the winner Sigal Cohen of Venezuela.

"Our interpretation of the quote led us to divide the letter forms in half using a combination of printing, hand cutting and folding in order to reflect the duality of the statement."

I really like the aesthetic quality to this poster, and the use of typeface in particular. The chosen colours work really well together, and all aspects look interesting from every perspective.

Bath

I spotted lots of nice signs in the windows of boutiques in Bath, but these two caught my eye. I like the language on the first, and the aesthetic quality of the hand scrawled type of the one on the right.
